TITLE VI RIGHTS
The Gonzales Police Department complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related nondiscrimination authorities. No person shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or other protected status, be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity administered by the department.
Individuals who believe they have been subjected to discrimination may file a complaint with the Gonzales Police Department or the appropriate oversight agency.

ACCIDENT & INCIDENT REPORTS
Crash reports and certain incident reports may be available through the department’s approved records management provider.
Please note that some report requests may redirect users to a secure third-party records retrieval service.
Accident Reports – $11.50 flat rate. These reports are available online or in person at the Gonzales Police Department.
Incident Reports – $5.00 for the first two pages and $1.00 per additional page. These reports may or may not be available online.
Case Reports – $5.00 for the first two pages and $1.00 per additional page, if the matter is public record. These reports are not available online.

TRAFFIC CITATION PAYMENTS & FEES
Electronic citations are generally available for payment within 24–48 hours. Handwritten citations or citations issued by outside agencies may require additional processing time prior to upload into the payment system.
If you wish to pay a traffic citation or other non-court mandatory violation, we encourage you to do so online or by phone when available.

PUBLIC RECORDS REQUESTS
The Gonzales Police Department processes public records requests in accordance with Louisiana Public Records Law.
Requests should be submitted as specifically as possible to assist with timely processing. Certain records or portions of records may be exempt from disclosure or subject to redaction pursuant to state or federal law.
All public records requests shall be submitted in writing and directed to the Custodian of Records as follows:
